About:On the east coast of Australia we are lucky to have the privilege of having Humpback Whale migrate pass our shoes both on their northern trip and their southern trip. There are many cruises available that know exactly where to go so that you can see these magnificate beauties sail past.
Times of year and what you are likely to see on some of the charters.
May: During the month of May the Humpback whales are making their Northern Migration heading towards their breeding ground up north. There is also an array of seabirds out and about.
July to Sept: During our coldest months you will be able to see Southern right whales, dolphins and Humback whales. There is also an array of winter seabirds out and about so that you will never see anywhere else in the world.
Mid to late August through to the beginning of December: A great time of year to see the southern return of the Humpback whales. There is also an array of seabirds out and about.
Opening Hours
Most whales watching charters have 2 trips a day during the peak season, morning and midday. These trip will usually last around the 3 hours make.
Entry Price
Prices range depending on time of year. During peak season you will be looking at around $80+ for an adult and $50 for a child. Some companies offer a guarantee that if you don’t see a whale they will refund part of the cost.

Bus, Train and Ferry Information
Circular Quay and Darling Harbour both have close public transport terminal and buses, trains and ferry’s.
